This homemade natural face mask uses common ingredients found in your pantry. It will leave your skin feeling soft and toned. Save money by making your own preservative free mask which takes only a little time to throw together.
This honey and oat face mask smells good enough to eat. The olive oil is nourishing for your skin while the oats exfoliate leaving your skin soft and refreshed.
Some ingredients listed below may cause irritation to sensitive skin. If you find your skin becoming itchy and red then wash off immediately.
Honey and Oat Homemade Natural Face Mask
This face mask is great for dry or combination skin. Read on for a natural face mask for oily skin and sallow skin.

- Soft Brush
- 6 Tbsp. Quick or Rolled Oats
- 1 Tsp. Honey
- 5 Tsp. Olive Oil
- 4 to 6 Tsp. Milk
Time needed: 30 minutes.
Honey and Oat Natural Face mask
- Process the Oats
Add the oats to the food processor or mortar and pestle then blitz until you have a sandy consistency. Alternatively, you could find ground oats at the store but this may be more expensive.
- Combine the Ingredients of the Face Mask
Next add the runny honey, olive oil and 4 teaspoons of the milk to the oats then blitz to combine.
- Create a Spreadable Consistency
Add more milk if needed to achieve a spreadable consistency.
- Apply to Your Face
Spread onto your face either with your hands or a soft brush. Leave on for 20 minutes then wash off with warm water.
Natural Face Mask for Oily Skin
Citrus fruits are toning and antiseptic making them a great ingredient for oily skin. Tomatoes, strawberries, cucumbers and apples can also soften the skin and reduce oil.
For an easy face mask for oily skin; lightly whip one egg white then add two drops of olive oil and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice. Spread over your clean face avoiding your eyes then let dry. Wash off with warm water.
Natural Face Cleanse for Sallow Skin
Blitz together 2 oz. (60g) of fresh strawberries with 1 cup of milk. Leave for an hour then strain. Cleanse your face with the milk. It will lighten sallow skin. The milk will keep in the fridge for 3 days.
Other Natural Face Masks
For very dry skin; whisk together 2 egg yolks, 2 tablespoons of glycerine and 1 tablespoon of cream. Brush onto your face then leave for 10 minutes before washing off with warm water.
For combination skin; whisk together 1 egg yolk with 2 teaspoons of lemon juice and 1 teaspoon of runny honey until you have a thick consistency. Apply to your face then leave on for 10 minutes or until dry then rinse off with warm water.
Kiwi fruit can soften the skin and are rich in enzymes but people with sensitive skin may find they have a reaction to this fruit.
Almond oil is also great to add to face masks in place of the olive oil. It smells really good, but it can be hard to find and is more expensive than olive oil.
