So, you go to the trouble of checking out the website reviews to find the best value for money bottle of wine available at your local shop then you’re excited you could actually find it in store. You bring the bottle home with high hopes only to find it isn’t to your taste.
This happens to me all too often, usually because I just can’t afford anything more expensive.
Cheap white wine can be easily fixed. Just add orange juice, lemon soda, cranberry juice or if you can afford it, strawberry liqueur to your glass. A little liqueur goes a long way.
Red wine takes a little more effort, but mulled wine is wonderful during the cooler months. Some people will say that you should only use good wine to make mulled wine. However, if it is a choice between throwing out a bottle of wine or making it easier to drink, I don’t think it matters. This is my go to recipe to make a cheap bottle of red wine taste good.
